As we approach the end of the year, we're most grateful for the work we've been able to accomplish in 2024 with your help.  Generous supporters have allowed us to serve the El Puente church community and the GCEC school throughout the year as well as make significant improvements to the school's access and buildings.

As we look ahead, we've identified a goal of $52,600 to raise with your generous help by the end of December.  These funds will help us to make necessary repairs to the church buildings and continue work at the school including a new 7th grade classroom, security enhancements, and upgrades in classroom equipment. Your help will allow us to enhance the programs of both the church and the school as we continue to grow in 2025 to meet increasing community involvement at both locations.  With over half of all Nicaraguan charities closed over recent years, those of us who remain are straining to fill in the gaps.

Because of you, the impact of the church and school has been profound. We serve a community where many of the homes still lack running water and electricity, where many of the children don’t go to school or drop out by the 6th grade.  Our school provides a beautiful natural setting with spacious, well-constructed classrooms, each limited to 25 students. Our students have access to materials and teaching, including the arts and music, not typically available in Nicaragua.  As evidence of its success, we're oversubscribed for enrollment, with kids learning at 2-3 grades above those in the public school system. Our goal remains to offer At-Risk Children and their families hope for a better future through education in a safe and loving environment that keeps Christ and the gospel at the center.

How you can help:

Our GCEC partner has committed to underwrite additional staff and shepherd the high school approval process with the government.
In addition, the plans for 2025 include several capital expenditures that need your help:
  • *A walking bridge across the central arroyo which floods each rainy season.
  • *Construction of the 7th grade classroom.
  • *New desks and chairs for several older classrooms and the office.
In addition, El Puente Church requires several upgrades to its meeting spaces and help to provide for weekly meals for the Sunday school children and the addition of a guard/maintenance man.

Your generosity over the last 18 years is much appreciated by the community in Granada and all we serve there.  If you would like to help this year, you can do so to the right, or by sending a check to Entrega at the address below.
